Lymphatic Drainage

  • Lymphatic drainage is a gentle manipulation of the skin to help restore lymph fluid flow within the body. The lymphatic system plays a role in fluid balance, waste removal and immune function within the body.
  • Illness or injury may cause the lymphatic system to become blocked or slow. Lymphatic drainage can help to restore normal lymph flow within the body. If you are experiencing symptoms such as swelling of the hands or feet, bloating, fatigue, brain fog, chronic headaches or generally feeling unwell, lymphatic drainage may help
  • Practitioners use a light skin contact when performing lymphatic drainage. If mor intense pressure is used, the lymph nodes may collapse and the treatment will not be beneficial.
  • Lymphatic drainage can also be used in conjunction with other forms of therapy such as manual osteopathy and craniosacral therapy
